Role Purpose
The UK Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of month-end financial reporting across the region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and process optimization.
Month-End Reporting
- Lead and manage the monthly close process for the UK region
Process Standardization & Simplification
- Identify, document, and implement best practices for month-end close procedures to standardize and simplify reporting processes across all entities within the UK region.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce month-end close cycle time, eliminate bottlenecks, and increase operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Run regional reporting packs and provide variance analysis, commentary on key drivers, and actionable insights for senior management.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Strengthen internal controls surrounding the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with regional and local finance teams, group finance, FP&A, and business partners to foster a culture of collaboration and ensure consistent implementation of process changes.
Month-End Automation & Efficiency
- Identify opportunities for automation of the financial reporting processes to streamline month-end close. Provide feedback and recommendations.

Audit
- Supporting the FD with the delivery of year-end Audit information.
Skills / Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, financial control, month-end reporting, and process improvement.
- Proven track record in streamlining financial processes and driving standardization across multiple entities or countries.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, month-end close procedures, and variance analysis.
- Experience using NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
