Psycle Financial Controller
Psycle is on a mission to transform lives through the power of movement. With five London studios and a growing digital platform, Psycle At Home, we deliver world-class workouts across Ride, Reformer, Barre, Strength and Yoga. We’re a small, ambitious business with big plans — and we’re looking for a Financial Controller who can own, shape and elevate our entire finance function.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys improving systems and processes, and can translate financial data into clear operational insight.
What You’ll Lead
- Full ownership of month-end including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPI packs and variance analysis.
- Weekly trading performance reporting across studios and digital, providing actionable insight to leadership.
- Statutory accounts, year-end consolidation and audit preparation, ensuring Psycle is fully compliant and audit-ready.
- VAT returns, corporation tax support and financial policies, maintaining strong governance and regulatory adherence.
- Cashflow forecasting and scenario modelling to support strategic and operational decisions.

Cost & Margin Ownership
- Accurate cost data through strong AP support and coding integrity.
- Ancillary margin visibility across retail, workshops, private sessions, events and add-ons.
- COGS ownership, including stock movements, supplier pricing, shrinkage and wastage analysis.
- Clear insight into profitability drivers, enabling smarter purchasing, pricing and operational decisions.
Business Partnering
- Studio Managers — labour efficiency, class profitability, occupancy trends, cost control.
- Operations Team — maintenance spend, call-out trends, equipment lifecycle costs, scheduling efficiency and operational KPIs.
- Budget holders — marketing, digital, retail and central functions, ensuring budgets are understood and adhered to.
- Leadership — providing forward-looking insight that shapes pricing, scheduling, investment and growth decisions.
Innovation & Systems Improvement
- Automation of reporting and workflows, reducing manual processes and improving accuracy.
- System optimisation, ensuring our finance tools and integrations are used to their full potential.
- Digital subscription analytics for Psycle At Home, including churn, retention, pricing and engagement trends.
- Data innovation, uncovering insights across class mix, membership behaviour, digital performance and studio profitability.

What You’ll Bring
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or finalist).
- Strong technical accounting skills with experience in multi-site, retail, hospitality or fitness.
- Excellent financial modelling and Excel capability.
- Confidence working autonomously and improving processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-finance teams and influence operational decisions.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for efficiency and insight.
