Anderson Knight are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager/Controller to be number one and lead finance at one of their flagship FMCG manufacturing sites. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll partner closely with operational teams to influence commercial decisions, optimise performance and support the delivery of products to major retail and customer channels.

This role combines financial control, commercial business partnering and operational finance leadership within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. You'll play a pivotal role in driving site performance, improving efficiencies and providing the financial insight needed to support operational excellence, customer service and sustainable growth.

This is an exciting time to join the business. A significant capital investment programme is nearing completion to support increased production capacity and the onboarding of a major new customer. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the site maximises these opportunities, delivering strong financial performance while supporting continued operational growth.

Working closely with the Site Lead and cross-functional teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Continuous Improvement, you'll provide financial leadership that enables informed decision-making, enhances profitability and drives service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior finance business partner for the manufacturing site, providing commercial challenge, financial leadership and strategic support to operational teams.
  • Deliver insightful weekly P&L reporting, KPI analysis and operational performance reporting to support fast-paced decision-making.
  • Lead the site's forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring demand forecasts, inventory levels and labour planning are aligned with customer requirements and production schedules.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Sales and Continuous Improvement teams to improve operational efficiency, maximise margins and drive site performance.
  • Support major capital investment projects and new customer launches through robust financial modelling, investment appraisal and commercial decision support.
  • Produce accurate month-end reporting for submission to Central Finance, with Group consolidation and FP&A managed centrally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, automate reporting, strengthen controls and enhance the quality of operational insight.
  • Deliver meaningful commercial analysis that supports pricing, cost optimisation, waste reduction, productivity and long-term business growth.
  • Build strong relationships across the site, influencing stakeholders at all levels while providing appropriate support and constructive challenge.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
