Financial Controller Essex £85,000 plus 20% bonus
Financial Reporting
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes
- Publishing timely financial statements and variance reports
Compliance & Auditing
- Serve as the principal point of contact for external auditors
- Ensure all practices adhere to statutory laws and accounting standards
Internal Controls
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risk
Cash Flow & Budgeting
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets
- Track cash forecasts
- Monitor debt and credit management

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Industry-recognized certification such as an ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Proven team management capabilities

Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in financial management software
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct is a big plus
