For the opening of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection, we are seeking a Financial Controller who partners closely with hotel management, combining strategic thinking with a strong hands-on approach. Working closely with hotel management, you will analyze performance, develop forecasts, drive efficiency initiatives, and translate financial data into clear, value-adding business decisions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic financial partner to the executive management team, supporting business decisions and long-term planning
- Lead and coordinate the hotel’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Share responsibility for profitability, cost control, and investment decisions, ensuring sustainable financial performance
- Analyze cost structures, staffing levels, and inventory processes, identifying risks, efficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Actively support and train department heads in financial understanding, reporting, and budget ownership
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, transparency, and compliance with internal and external standards
- Maintain a strong hands-on presence, balancing strategic oversight with operational involvement

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance role within the luxury hospitality sector
- Strong strategic mindset combined with excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Hands-on, business-oriented professional who thrives in small-scale, high-quality hotel environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- High level of initiative, ownership, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong team player with integrity, reliability, and professionalism
