Finance Transformation / Group Finance Controller
This opportunity sits within an exceptionally successful hedge fund that continues to scale following a period of sustained growth. As a result, the firm is looking to appoint a newly created Finance Transformation / Group Finance Controller role to support the continued development of the finance function and help build a more automated, data-led, and scalable operating platform.
Reporting into the CFO, the role will sit within a collaborative Group Accounts team of 5 and will have broad exposure across the firm’s global management company structure, covering several jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing core finance activities across the group, while also driving projects that improve efficiency, control, reporting quality, and decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Managing external advisors in the preparation of statutory and management accounts
- Overseeing audits across regulated and unregulated entities
- Leading regulatory reporting requirements, including ICARA
- Supporting tax, fund finance, operational finance, and wider regulatory workstreams, offering excellent breadth across a complex international hedge fund platform.
- Developing and enhancing financial planning and analysis capabilities, including budgets, forecasts, liquidity analysis, management reporting, and ad hoc analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Contributing meaningfully to the evolution of the finance function through automation, AI-enabled process improvement, workflow optimisation, and the development of proprietary tools that reduce manual work, improve controls, and enhance the quality of financial insight across the business.

Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant
- Minimum of five years’ post-qualified experience
- Prior hedge fund experience is highly desirable, although candidates from other buy-side environments will also be considered.
