Company: An international, high-growth property development business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to join its Corporate Finance team. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the Group's financial reporting and consolidation activities, while driving improvements to the internal control environment across a complex, multi-entity organisation.

Responsibilities: As the Financial Controller, you will be:

  • Leading the monthly and quarterly Group consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial and management reporting
  • Preparing statutory reporting and supporting year-end audits across a complex, multi-entity business
  • Driving the implementation and enhancement of the Group's internal controls framework, including remediation and governance initiatives
  • Partnering with tax, audit and finance teams to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Managing and developing a team of qualified and part-qualified finance professionals
  • Supporting complex technical accounting matters, including consolidations, joint ventures, associates and minority interests
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and finance systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business

Candidate: The ideal candidate will:

  • Be ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified, ideally with a Big 4 or strong technical accounting background
  • Demonstrate significant experience in financial reporting, Group consolidations and statutory accounting within a multi-entity environment
  • Possess strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and complex consolidation principles
  • Have experience designing, implementing or enhancing internal controls and governance frameworks
  • Be an experienced people manager with the ability to coach and develop high-performing finance teams
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines
