Financial Controller
Real Estate & Development Sector | London
Salary: £90,000+ + bonus
We're partnering with a leading international real estate investment and development organisation to recruit a Financial Controller to join its UK finance leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant who enjoys operating in a broad, hands-on role covering financial reporting, treasury, compliance, budgeting, and team leadership within a complex property and development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including entity consolidations and IFRS reporting.
- Manage the production of annual statutory accounts and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis across multiple entities and projects.
- Produce project financial reports and provide meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
- Manage treasury activities, including debt and equity drawdowns, funding requests, and cash management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax obligations, and internal controls.
- Support senior finance leadership with:
- Board papers
- Financial recommendations
- Policy development
- Process improvements
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities within an Oracle ERP environment.
- Lead and develop a small finance team.

About You
✅ ACA or ACCA-qualified ✅ 4+ years’ post-qualified experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role ✅ Previous experience within the real estate, property development, construction, infrastructure, or investment sectors ✅ Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS (US GAAP exposure advantageous) ✅ Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems ✅ Previous people management experience ✅ Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
