Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager Succession Plan to Finance Director Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, London-based super-prime residential construction business, specialising in technically complex, high-end projects for private clients.

With multiple divisions, a strong order book and ambitious growth plans, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. They are seeking a commercially minded finance professional to help shape its future.

Working closely with the Finance Director, owners, and leadership team, you’ll gain increased exposure to strategic decision-making, commercial operations and business growth initiatives, with progression towards a future Finance Director position. The timeline for this will vary depending on individual readiness, but this is part of a clearly defined succession plan.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role involves all aspects of the finance function within a growing, project-led business, with a focus on:

  • Supporting sustainable growth
  • Protecting margins
  • Strengthening overall business performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
