About the Role
Seeking a qualified Financial Controller (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) to join a thriving UK/European business as part of global leadership. This pivotal role requires a commercial, results-driven individual with proven experience in :
- Managing and developing finance teams
- Financial reporting, statutory accounts, and treasury oversight
- Strategic financial and operational KPI development
- Audits, tax, and ERP systems implementation
This position enhances a well-established team supporting cross-functional business partnering and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Reporting Leadership
- Oversee local and group financial reporting (via Oracle)
- Prepare statutory accounts for all European entities
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Develop and refine financial controls processes to align with evolving business needs
- Standardise financial procedures across entities
- Maintain balance sheet integrity
- Support tax planning and compliance

Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Provide financial insights and business partnering to Operations, Sales, Marketing, HR & IT
- Partner with UK MD and US Controller to unite performances globally
Operational Excellence
- Support cost accounting, month-end financial statements, cash flow reporting
- Lead audits, incl. external statutory audits
- Support ERP implementation and system upgrades
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)** Financial Controller** (preferably recent graduate)
- Prior Aristocratic NO.1 fiscal role in UK subsidiary of a large multinational manufacturing firm
- Proven skill in developing finance teams with leadership gravitas
- Commercial acumen to build trusted partnerships across all business areas (incl. HR, IT, Sales)
Technical & Sector-Specific Skills
- Manufacturing sector expertise – essential for strategic alignment & business impact
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, ERP knowledge (Oracle advantage)</strong>
- Familiarity with statutory compliance and group accounting standards
- Ability to collaborate with multisite teams for integrated performance driving
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £70,000–£75,000 (including bonus opportunities)
- Annual & Quarterly Incentives (up to 15% bonus)
- Chrismas Bonus
- 550 GBP/m company car allowance
- 7% pension contribution
- 25 days’ holiday (over disclosure period)
- Hybrid working (3 days office/2 home)
