Financial Controller (Group Consolidation)

Interim Contract

Location: Central London (5 days per week in the office - non-negotiable)
Contract: Daily Rate (IR35 TBC)
Rate: £500 per day
Start Date: ASAP

We're partnering with a leading High End Luxury Consumer business to appoint an experienced Financial Controller on an interim basis. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of the Group consolidation process while leading a team of five finance professionals and supporting the ongoing development of the business's financial control environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group consolidation and month-end reporting process.
  • Manage and develop a team of five finance professionals.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across the Group.
  • Drive improvements in financial controls, governance, and reporting processes.
  • Support internal audit activities and strengthen the internal control framework.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
  • Identify process improvements and support key finance transformation initiatives where required.

About You

We're looking for a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience in a Financial Controller or Group Finance role. You'll ideally bring:

  • Strong Group consolidation experience.
  • A background in external audit or internal audit (Big 4 or Top 10 practice experience is highly desirable).
  • Experience managing or mentoring finance teams.
  • A strong understanding of internal controls, governance, and audit processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
