A growing and ambitious business is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to take ownership of its financial strategy, operations, and performance.
This is a highly visible leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will combine strategic financial leadership with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day finance operations.
The Role
You will lead all aspects of the finance function, providing financial insight, governance, and commercial support to enable sustainable business growth. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys both shaping strategy and delivering operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, overseeing both strategic and operational finance activities.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage month-end and year-end processes.
- Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support decision-making.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive business performance and growth initiatives.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, profitability, and cost control.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, governance, and compliance processes.
- Oversee statutory reporting, audits, and tax compliance.
- Enhance financial systems, reporting capabilities, and process efficiencies.
- Build scalable financial infrastructure to support future growth.

About You
You will be a qualified finance professional with experience operating in a senior finance leadership role within an SME or growth-oriented environment.
Essential experience and attributes:
- Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, or similar senior finance role.
- Strong end-to-end ownership of finance operations.
- Experience partnering with leadership teams on strategic business decisions.
- Commercially focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Proactive, pragmatic, and highly organised.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
