Financial Controls Advisor

Birmingham

Astrum Search is supporting a global PLC to recruit a Financial Controls Advisor to help strengthen its financial controls framework during an exciting period of governance transformation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified professional with experience in Internal Audit, SOX, ICFR, financial controls or governance to play a key role in designing, embedding and monitoring finance controls across a complex business.

You'll work closely with senior Finance stakeholders to improve control effectiveness, support UK Corporate Governance Code Provision 29 compliance, enhance reporting and dashboards, and drive continuous improvement through automation and AI.

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in finance controls, internal audit or risk
  • SOX, ICFR or UK Corporate Governance Code experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • ERP knowledge (SAP desirable)
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent experience)
