About the Role
Gambit Search is excited to collaborate with a leading global consultancy seeking to hire a Manager and Associate Director for their financial crime team in London or Manchester.
In this role, you will provide specialist support across complex and high-profile engagements in insolvency and restructuring. The team handles cases across the UK and internationally, capturing a diverse range of cases.
This is a unique opportunity to become the embedded financial crime expert within a rising specialism. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to navigate AML, sanctions, due diligence, and wider financial crime risks in a fast-paced, commercial environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial crime risk management across insolvency and restructuring engagements.
- Advise Partners and Directors on AML, sanctions, customer due diligence (CDD), and suspicious activity matters.
- Make risk-based decisions on complex cases, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with compliance, legal, and engagement teams to ensure robust governance, while supporting commercial objectives.
- Support the development of best practice within the firm’s financial crime framework.
About You (Essential Qualifications & Experience)
- Strong financial crime experience covering AML, sanctions, CDD, and suspicious activity.
- Experience in first and second line support required.
- AML/CDD qualifications are essential.
- Ability to advise senior stakeholders on complex, high-risk matters.
- Demonstrable judgement, communication skills, and a pragmatic approach to risk management.
- Ideally, previous experience working in professional services firms.
