Financial Crime Screening (FCS) Head of Workflow – Screening Alert Management

Location: London

Purpose of the Role To manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators.

About the Role

Join us as the Financial Crime Screening (FCS) Head of Workflow – Screening Alert Management. In this position, you will lead global Financial Crime operations, overseeing screening and alert management activities across multiple locations.

You will be accountable for driving operational performance, risk management, and control effectiveness, ensuring delivery adheres to regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

Operating at pace in a high-pressure environment, you will make time-sensitive, high-impact decisions across live incidents and complex operational scenarios. Balancing competing priorities such as SLA delivery, risk exposure, and operational capacity, while maintaining strong control environments across the entire alert lifecycle, this role demands senior leadership and operational excellence.

As a senior leader, collaboration and consistency will be key priorities. You will work closely with stakeholders to manage incidents, resolve challenges, and continuously evolve operations through optimisation, analytics, and automation.

Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities

  • Identify trends and opportunities for process improvements, enhancing new procedures through monitoring and analysis of operational data and performance metrics.
  • Oversee operational effectiveness in the business area, promoting efficient processes, risk management, and compliance initiatives that align with banking objectives and SLAs.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders (business leaders, project managers, subject matter experts) and external partners (vendors, service providers) to support cross-functional business operations.
  • Lead operational teams, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to elevate delivery quality and professional growth.
  • Develop and manage KPIs to measure operational efficiency, leveraging data and technology to identify areas requiring significant improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies, prioritising customer experience standards.
  • Foster a psychologically safe work environment, encouraging open communication and proactive feedback to maintain a high-performing, engaged workforce.
  • Manage attrition risks collaboratively with HR, implementing retention strategies to sustain operational stability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
