Financial Data Analyst

Finance Data Analyst – Start ASAP!

We are partnering with an incredible technology brand seeking a Finance Data Analyst. This is a newly created role within a very ambitious finance team, offering growth and progression opportunities.

About the Role

  • Targeting candidates with a strong finance background and exceptional data analytical skills
  • MUST be available on short notice

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 per annum + benefits Location: Hybrid (London Bridge x3 days a week, x2 days working from home)

Job Description

  • Create and develop financial models, dashboards, and reports using Excel, Power BI, or other BI tools
  • Analyse large financial datasets to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support:
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Long-term financial planning
  • Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to tailor solutions to their needs
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Monitor key financial KPIs and prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management
  • Support year-end and audit processes with accurate and timely data analysis
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy across finance systems and data sources
  • Participate in system upgrades and process improvement initiatives

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and visualisation tools (Power BI)
  • Deep understanding of accounting and finance, including:
    • Cash flow management
    • Forecasting
    • Profit & Loss (P&L) statements
    • Balance sheets
    • Technical financial knowledge
  • Strong business partnering skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
