Financial Data Analyst
Position: Financial Data Analyst Type: Contract Compensation: $40 - $70/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
About the Role
The Financial Data Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality financial data through analysis, labelling, annotation, and validation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing and interpreting complex financial data to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Using advanced spreadsheet techniques (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) to organise, validate, and manipulate large datasets.
- Labelling, annotating, and categorising financial data while ensuring precision.
- Collaborating with data science and product teams to share key insights.
- Reviewing and validating financial documents for completeness and compliance.
- Presenting findings clearly in written and verbal formats to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Strong relevant experience in finance, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Demonstrated experience with financial data annotation or data labelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring data handling and reporting accuracy at all times.
