Financial Data Analyst
Turn financial insight into business growth at Admiral Pioneer
You’ll help transform financial data into the insights that drive Admiral Group’s most exciting new ventures.
As a Financial Data Analyst, you'll support the business across a diverse portfolio of ventures, providing financial planning, informing commercial decisions, and enabling performance reporting that helps our businesses grow. Your work will range from analyzing financial performance and forecasting future growth to evaluating new opportunities, ensuring our leaders have the insights needed to make confident decisions.
Working closely with the FP&A Manager and venture leadership teams, you’ll develop expertise across the full financial lifecycle while building commercial awareness in an environment combining the agility of a start-up with the stability of one of the UK's leading insurance groups.
Why this role matters
This is far more than a reporting role.
You’ll play a vital part in helping Admiral Pioneer make better commercial decisions by turning complex financial data into actionable insights. Your work will influence investment choices, support business planning, and guide where to focus growth initiatives.
Working in a small yet collaborative finance team, you’ll contribute across financial planning and analysis, directly engaging with senior stakeholders. You’ll gain exposure to executive-level reporting and top-tier business strategy—opportunities rarely available in traditional finance roles.
If you’re looking for ownership, variety, and acceleration of your career, this is a standout opportunity.
You’ll thrive in this role if you
- Enjoy using data to solve commercial problems and shape business decisions.
- Are naturally curious and eager to understand what drives business performance.
- Excel in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve rapidly.
- Value collaborative relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Take ownership of projects and proactively seek ways to enhance processes and reporting.
- Seek to broaden your finance experience beyond standard reporting and develop strong commercial acumen.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
