We are excited to be partnering with a growing, international professional services business looking to appoint a Finance Data Analyst to join its expanding finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for financial data, reporting, and commercial insight to work alongside both Finance and Data teams, helping transform large volumes of information into meaningful analysis that supports business decisions. Reporting directly into the CFO, with close collaboration across Data, you'll gain exposure to senior stakeholders and play a key role in improving reporting, forecasting, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large financial and operational datasets to identify trends, risks, and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel models to support reporting and business decision-making.
  • Produce regular management reports, dashboards, and performance packs with clear, insightful commentary.
  • Work closely with Finance and Data teams to improve reporting accuracy and automate processes where possible.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Challenge data, investigate anomalies, and provide meaningful analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Support ongoing projects focused on enhancing reporting capabilities and data quality.

  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • A few years' experience within a Finance Analyst, Finance Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Strong Excel modelling skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
  • Confident producing reports that combine robust analysis with clear commercial commentary.
  • Experience working with contract-based or high-volume transactional data would be advantageous.
  • Previous exposure to professional services, recruitment, IT, or a similar fast-paced environment is desirable.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and receiving constructive feedback.
  • A proactive, inquisitive individual who enjoys challenging numbers and continuously improving processes.
