Finance Director 📍 London (Hybrid) 🏢 Events & Hospitality Sector 💰 £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits A prestigious, commercially focused events and conferencing organisation in Central London is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join its Executive Leadership Team. This is a high-profile strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to shape organisational direction, drive financial performance, and influence key business decisions within a complex and dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Finance Director will lead the organisation's financial strategy, planning, governance, risk management and commercial performance. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a central role in delivering long-term growth, transformation initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of business and financial strategy. Partner with the CEO and Board to deliver corporate and business plans. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting. Lead the preparation of annual accounts, management accounts and statutory reporting. Drive commercial decision-making through insightful financial analysis. Maintain robust governance, risk management and internal control frameworks. Present to Boards, Audit & Risk Committees and senior stakeholders. Manage relationships with auditors, government bodies and external partners. Oversee cash flow, taxation, payroll governance, fixed assets and credit control. Support organisation-wide transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing finance team.

Candidate Profile Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent). Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally at Finance Director, CFO or equivalent level. Strong strategic planning, commercial acumen and business partnering capability. Expertise in financial governance, controls, risk management and compliance. Proven experience leading and developing successful finance teams. Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. Ability to operate effectively at Board and Executive level. Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused approach

Desirable Experience Experience within events, hospitality, venues, leisure or other customer-facing commercial environments. Exposure to public sector, government or regulated organisations. Knowledge of procurement and major contract tendering processes.
