MacGregor Black are partnering with a market leading consumer products business on the search for a Finance Director. This is a permanent role based in Watford.

This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative, international consumer products business with an exciting product portfolio and ambitious growth plans. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with Group Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, supporting strategic decision making, and leading the finance function through the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance function, delivering accurate monthly management accounts, board reporting and meaningful commercial insight.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting process across revenue, margin, EBITDA and cash flow.
  • Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to support business planning, challenge assumptions and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Deliver detailed analysis across product profitability, pricing, customer performance, promotional activity and new product launches.
  • Drive robust financial controls, governance and compliance across the business.
  • Manage working capital performance, including inventory, debtors, cash flow and supplier payments.
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system, embedding strong finance processes, reporting and controls.
  • Oversee financial planning relating to international sourcing, freight, shipping, landed costs, duty and currency exposure.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banking partners and external advisors.
  • Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, promoting continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Support operational finance across supply chain, logistics, licensing and product compliance.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller or similar senior finance leader.
  • Background within consumer goods, FMCG, manufacturing, wholesale or product led businesses.
  • Strong commercial finance experience with budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and financial planning.
  • Excellent understanding of working capital, inventory and cash flow management.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation or major finance transformation projects.
  • Confident influencing senior stakeholders and providing commercial challenge at executive level.
  • A proactive leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands on approach.
