Citadel Source are delighted to be supporting a leading Bristol-based organisation in recruiting a Finance Director.
This is a pivotal Executive-level role within a values-led organisation, offering the opportunity to shape strategy, influence decision-making, and ensure long-term sustainability at a time of increasing demand and transformation.
The role
Reporting to the Chief Executive and forming part of the Executive Team, the Finance Director will provide strategic leadership across the organisation.
This is a broad and influential role, combining financial stewardship with organisational leadership. You will play a central role in developing and delivering long-term strategy, ensuring the organisation remains financially responsible, operationally effective, and equipped to meet the evolving needs of their customer base.
You will act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive and Board, contributing insight, challenge, and expertise across a wide range of strategic priorities.

As Finance Director, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Contribute to organisational strategy as a member of the Executive Team, leading long-term financial and resource planning to ensure sustainability and performance.
- Provide strategic advice and insight to senior leadership and the Board, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
- Lead all aspects of financial strategy and management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit, and compliance, ensuring robust controls and supporting income growth and cost optimisation.
- Lead governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, acting as Company Secretary and supporting strong Board and committee processes.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and values-led culture, while building strong internal and external relationships.
About you
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven senior financial leadership experience
- Experience operating at Executive or Board level
- Strong track record in strategic planning and financial management
- Experience leading change and transformation programmes
- Strong governance, risk, and compliance expertise
