Professional & Financial Risks Underwriter
London | £60,000
We are working with a London based MGA looking to strengthen their Professional & Financial Risks team with the addition of an Underwriter.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Assistant Underwriter ready to step up, or a Underwriter looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for underwriting a diverse portfolio of Professional & Financial Risks business, with a strong focus on Financial Institutions clients. Classes include:
- Professional Indemnity (PI)
- Cyber
- Directors & Officers (D&O)
- Errors & Omissions (E&O)
- Media Liability

You will work closely with brokers, build strong trading relationships, and play an active role in developing the book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal business within agreed authority levels
- Assess risk exposure and determine appropriate pricing and terms
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships
- Support the growth and profitability of the portfolio
- Collaborate with senior underwriters and wider teams on complex risks
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ insurance experience within an underwriting environment
- Experience within the London Insurance market
- Exposure to Professional & Financial Lines (PI, D&O, Cyber, etc.)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships
