Financial Operations Control Manager

Financial Operations Control Manager – Join Our Finance Team

About the Role

We’ve been helping members save for their future and buy their own home since 1875. By joining us, you’ll play a pivotal role in making homeownership more accessible across generations.

In our Finance team as a Financial Operations Control Manager, you’ll help strengthen payment operations, regulatory compliance, and controls effectiveness.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll take ownership of critical regulatory and controls activities, ensuring we maintain the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining compliance against key regulatory requirements, including:
    • Payment Services Regulations (PSRs)
    • EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation)
    • SFTR (Securities Financing Transactions Regulation)
  • Coordinating annual regulatory reviews, including:
    • Secure Customer Authentication (SCA)
    • Confirmation of Payee compliance
    • PCI (Payment Card Industry) submissions
  • Monitoring payment scheme rules and, through horizon-scanning, translating regulatory changes into practical operational adjustments.
  • Managing departmental risks, incidents, and improvement actions via the risk and controls register.
  • Overseeing control testing, policy updates, and supporting annual insurance-related submissions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
