Financial Planner | Poole, Dorset | £60,000 to £85,000 + Path to Director of Financial Planning
Looking for a role where you can build meaningful client relationships, influence the future of a respected independent financial planning firm and help clients make life-changing decisions?
Life Matters is looking for an experienced Financial Planner, or a strong Associate Planner ready to step up, to join our growing team in Poole.
This is a relationship-led role. You'll work with an established bank of HNW clients, supported by an experienced team, with the time and autonomy to deliver high-quality financial planning.

The Role
You'll take ownership of existing HNW client relationships, helping clients make informed decisions and achieve their long-term goals. New business generation is not the focus of this role. Your focus is the quality and depth of client relationships.
Key responsibilities include: Managing a portfolio of HNW clients Running planning and review meetings Supporting new client onboarding alongside the Managing Director Creating and presenting financial plans and recommendations Participating in the Investment Committee Working alongside clients' legal and tax advisers Supporting colleagues with technical guidance and development Maintaining excellent compliance standards

About You
You'll ideally have: 5+ years in financial services At least 2 years as a Financial Adviser / IFA Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) Experience using cashflow modelling tools such as Voyant or Truth Strong understanding of Consumer Duty, AML, SPS and CPD requirements Excellent relationship-building, listening and communication skills A collaborative, growth-minded approach An interest in technology and innovation
Desirable Advanced Diploma, Chartered or Certified Financial Planner status Experience advising HNW individuals, business owners or retirees
Working Pattern
Flexible working, with sensible flexibility. Mondays are office-based as standard, with most client meetings taking place in the office. Working patterns flex around client needs.
