Financial Planner
This is a self employed role, hybrid working in the Sandford, Winscombe area. (BS25)
Boutique Practice | Entrepreneurial Opportunity | Equity Potential
Qualifications and experience are important, but they are only part of the picture. We're looking for someone who wants more than simply servicing an existing client bank.
The ideal candidate will combine technical competence with an entrepreneurial mindset. Someone who sees opportunities, enjoys building relationships, and wants to play a meaningful role in the growth and future direction of a successful practice.
This isn't simply a role for an adviser who wants to maintain the status quo.
For the right individual, this is an opportunity to become an integral part of the firm's future growth. We are looking for someone who wants to help build a highly respected financial planning business and share in the success they help create.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
