A leading wealth management firm with a strong reputation for client service and a supportive, collaborative culture is seeking a talented Wealth Planner for their growing team in York.
This is a pivotal hire for the business, as the successful candidate will be the first Wealth Planner to join the firm in the regions, while maintaining close collaboration with the established London-based team.
This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to a well-established office.
About the Role
As a Wealth Planner, you will work closely with Investment Managers, providing comprehensive financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients.

- Your primary focus will be on delivering initial advice and assisting with client prospecting and retention, rather than managing an existing book of clients.
- Pension experience is essential.
- Excellent client-facing skills, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach are crucial.
- The successful candidate will be a team player, comfortable working with both local and other office-based colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial financial planning advice to clients, focusing primarily on pensions, estate planning, investment structuring, and protection.
- Collaborate with Investment Managers to identify client needs and develop solutions.
- Assist with client prospecting and retention activities.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the office.

Qualifications and Experience
- Ideally Chartered status or near qualification.
- Proven experience providing financial planning advice, specialising in pensions.
- Excellent client-facing skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Existing professional networks in the region would be beneficial.
