About the role
As a Financial Planner based in Plymouth, you will support clients across Plymouth, Devon, and the South West in achieving their financial goals, developing plans that maximise their resources, and guiding them through their financial life events. You’ll be part of a smaller, focused team where your contribution is visible and valued. You’ll start with an existing client base and gain more as you deliver results.
Accountabilities
- Shape Futures, Not Just Plans: Deliver financial planning that feels personal - because every client’s story is unique.
- Turn Numbers into Strategies: Transform numbers into smart, actionable strategies.
- Be the Trusted Voice: Connect with clients, understand their needs, and make complex advice clear and understandable.
- Keep Reviews on Track: Lead regular reviews to keep plans fresh, relevant, and results-focused in line with client service agreements.
- Solve Challenges Before They Happen: Offer intelligent, proactive solutions to client issues - thinking ahead and responding fast.
- Know our Proposition Inside Out: Learn, understand, and confidently articulate all aspects of our financial planning proposition.
- Keep Growing: Complete Continuous Professional Development to meet regulatory requirements and your personal growth goals.
- Record Every Detail: Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions using our CRM.
- Win Together: Work closely with team members, share insights, and continuously improve service delivery.

Skills and Experience

- Have at least 3 years’ experience as a Financial Planner.
- Are Diploma qualified (at least level 4) in Financial Planning.
- Have a current SPS.
- Confident using CRM and cashflow modelling tools.
- Have a track record of building client relationships and converting opportunities into long-term clients.
- Believe in holistic financial planning rather than product-led advice.
- Take ownership of outcomes and focus on solutions.
- Want to build something meaningful, not simply maintain an existing client book.
- Enjoy collaborating and contributing to a strong team culture.
- Take a long-term approach to clients and your own career.
