Role overview

To build and develop trusted relationships with all historical and potential clients, servicing an existing client bank of profitable households the maximum number to be agreed by your Managing Director.

Responsible for acquiring new clients, assets and fees with established Financial Planners generating new Financial Planning fees and net flows per annum as agreed with your manager, however the focus on this role is on service and retention of existing assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • To plan, implement and execute the annual Business Plan in line with your agreed individual targets.
  • Service a provided bank of existing clients with compliant and good quality advice remotely (via telephone and      video conferencing).
  • Ensure all periodic client reviews are completed in line with client’s expectations and changing circumstances
  • Remain compliant – measurements include; Business Quality Assurance (BQA) grades, CPD, complaints upheld, maintaining SPS
  • Achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) measured via a Balanced Business Scorecard (BBS)
  • Grow both the total and average ongoing Financial Planning fees across all retained clients.
  • Work in partnership with all team members, sharing best practice and developing client acquisition strategies
  • Execute a client centric migration process on an ongoing basis as required

Regulatory responsibilities ¦ Compliance/T&C

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.

  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business. Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.

As a Certified Person under SMCR, you must accept responsibility and demonstrate an understanding for the regulatory aspects and framework of the FCA certification function(s) that you perform, and ensure you meet and abide by the rules of the FCA’s fit and proper test, and comply with the FCA’s Conduct Rules. Additionally, you must ensure your compliance with all internal policies, procedures and standards.

 About you ¦ Qualifications, skills and strengths

  • Experience advising clients over a number of years’ in an ongoing advisory manner
  • The ability to advise and handle a large book of clients
  • Diploma or equivalent Level 4 and having or working towards Chartered status
  • Excellent relationship developer through networking, leveraging existing contacts, referrals and incremental business from existing clients
  • Ability to deliver a holistic client financial planning experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter and a strong team player
  • Strong Financial Wellbeing skills and knowledge
  • Commercial thinker with strong new business acumen
  • Comfortable working under manageable pressure to achieve KPIs
  • Well organised, excellent administration ensuring deadlines are consistently met
