Jerroms Financial Planning is a well-established Independent Financial Advisory firm with a strong track record of sustainable growth.
As part of the Sumer Group, the UK's 11th largest accountancy firm, we work closely with accountancy practices across the group, supporting SMEs and their owners with high-quality financial planning. This provides our advisers with a strong network of professional introductions and the opportunity to build long-term, trusted client relationships within a collaborative and supportive environment.
We're looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused individual who enjoys working with people and building trust. Whether you're Chartered or Diploma-qualified, what matters most is your professionalism, integrity, commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes, and desire to continue developing your career.
Within your first six months, we will work with you with the aim of progressing into a full advisory role, taking ownership of your own accountancy firm relationships while benefiting from ongoing mentoring, coaching, and support from an experienced team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
