At Campden BRI, our Finance team plays a critical role in supporting a world-leading food and drink research organisation. Working closely with stakeholders across scientific, technical, and business functions, the team provides robust financial reporting, planning, and analysis that enables informed decision-making and supports the delivery of our strategic objectives.

About the Opportunity

As we continue to evolve and strengthen our Financial Planning & Analysis capability, we are looking for a Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing FP&A function, providing valuable insight and partnering with managers across the business to drive performance and continuous improvement. We are based in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, GL55 6LD.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles
  • Preparing financial analysis, management reports, and performance insights for stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning and decision making
  • Supporting monthly management reporting, KPI tracking, and variance analysis
  • Partnering with budget holders and managers to review financial performance and challenge assumptions
  • Assisting with cash flow and forecasting and working capital analysis
  • Supporting continuous improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting tools
  • Analysing trends, risks, and opportunities to provide actionable financial support
  • Supporting scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to aid business decision-making
  • Contributing to the development of dashboard, management information, and reporting automation

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, or Management Accounting
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes
  • Ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate insights clearly
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience working within a medium-sized organisation
