Financial Planning Analyst

FP&A Analyst – Change & Transformation

Up to £70,000 | 12-Month FTC | York or London (Hybrid)

We're seeking a commercially focused FP&A Analyst to collaborate with Change/Transformation & IT functions, offering critical financial insights to underpin major technology and transformation investments.

This is not just a reporting role. You'll partner with senior Change, Technology, and Finance leaders, influencing investment decisions, optimising spend, enhancing forecasting, and driving strategic initiatives for maximum value.


What You'll Do

  • Partner with Change and IT leaders to deliver financial guidance across technology and transformation portfolios
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end performance analysis for Change and IT spending
  • Provide valued financial insights into project investments, operational costs, and resource allocation
  • Challenge assumptions, spot risks/opportunities, and drive impactful financial decision-making
  • Create high-quality reporting and executive-ready presentations for leadership and governance meetings
  • Oversee programme spend, benefit realisation, and investment performance for key initiatives
  • Improve forecasting, reporting, and financial processes through greater automation and standardisation
  • Act as a trusted finance partner, simplifying complex financial data into actionable commercial advice

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Proven FP&A experience, preferably with Change Management support
  • Strong background in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience collaborating with non-finance stakeholders at senior levels
  • Ability to clarify and commercialise complex financial data
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency
  • Experience with large-scale change programmes or technology investments is a plus
