Financial Reporting Accountant
Senior/Lead Financial Reporting Accountant
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with:
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Prepare quarterly MiFID reporting submissions for relevant entities across the Group
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on existing accounting and reporting processes
- Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes, automation, and systems to enhance:
- Efficiency
- Accuracy of financial information production
- Prepare monthly management information (MI) for relevant entities across the Group, providing:
- Insight into financial performance
- Trend analysis against prior periods and budget
- Assist in developing and implementing controls and processes to ensure:
- Completeness
- Accuracy
- Timeliness of financial and regulatory information
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, and Capital teams to:
- Gather required inputs
- Ensure alignment across regulatory frameworks
- Support internal and external audits related to:
- Regulatory compliance
- Financial reporting
- Assist in automation and improvement of reporting processes and systems
Participation
- Active involvement in working groups as required

- Provide insight to internal/external stakeholders on:
- Financial and regulatory performance
- Liaison with internal/external stakeholders
- Maintain and advance technical skills through continuous learning and training
- Deliver ad hoc tasks/projects when required
- Take ownership of responsibilities to ensure exceptional outcomes for customers

About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven financial reporting experience, including:
- Production of statutory accounts
- Monthly and quarterly management information
- Experience with MiFID and IPRU-INV reporting
- Proficiency in Excel, including experience working with large data sets
- Strong understanding of the UK regulatory landscape
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Traits
- Comfortable in a flexible working environment, with occasional office requirements
- Willingness to travel as needed to Nucleus business locations to fulfil responsibilities
