Financial Reporting Accountant
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP).
- Prepare quarterly MiFID reporting submissions for relevant entities across the Group.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess the impact on existing reporting processes.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes, automation, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare monthly management information for relevant entities, providing insight on financial performance and trend analysis against prior periods and budgets.
- Assist in the development and implementation of controls and processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and regulatory information.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, and Capital teams to gather required inputs and align across regulatory frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits related to regulatory and financial reporting.
- Assist in automation and improvement of reporting processes and systems.
- Participation in working groups as required.

Performance Objectives (KPIs/Targets)
- Meeting timelines for financial statements and regulatory reporting.
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy measures.
- Providing insight on financial and regulatory performance to relevant stakeholders.
- Effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining high technical proficiency for self-development.
- Delivery of ad hoc tasks and projects as necessary.
- Consistently reinforcing Nucleus’ core values (Smart, Heart, and Courage).
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct in all actions.
About You
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- Hands-on experience in financial reporting (including statutory accounts and monthly/quarterly management reporting).
- MiFID and IPRU-INV reporting expertise required.
- Strong ** Excel skills**, including capability to handle large data sets.
- Deep understanding of the UK regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Robust communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Mindset
- Willingness to work flexibly with some on-site office requirements.
- Readiness to travel to Nucleus business locations as necessary.
