What Is the Opportunity?

Join our Finance team in London as our Financial Reporting Accountant, stepping into the role of a true financial integrity champion. You will take ownership of our month-end process and establish a robust control environment to support our ongoing commercial growth, all while acting as a vital business partner providing critical insights directly to our Finance Director, CFO, Financial Controller, and our parent company, Travelers.

What makes this role different from other traditional accounting positions is the unique balance between technical depth and transformative impact. Instead of just maintaining existing workflows, you will actively modernise our accounting systems to eliminate operational complexity, deepen your exposure across diverse frameworks like IFRS and US GAAP, and completely own critical external relationships with regulators, tax advisors, and auditors.

As our Financial Reporting Accountant, you’ll:

  • Master the month-end close: Calculate and post monthly journals while preparing accurate, fully supported balance sheet reconciliations across accruals, debtors, and tax.
  • Deliver management insights: Prepare monthly management accounts and investigate variances to provide budget holders and wider teams with clear financial clarity.
  • Manage regulatory compliance: Drive the delivery of multi-framework financial reporting across complex regulatory landscapes, completing submissions for HMRC, the FCA, ONS, quarter-end VAT, and annual PSA returns.
  • Provide technical guidance: Offer clear IFRS advice to the broader finance team and prepare robust accounting judgement papers on evolving disclosure requirements.
  • Strengthen audit and controls: Support internal and external audits, embed rigorous internal financial controls, and ensure compliance with SOX reporting standards.
  • Act as a systems superuser: Utilise SAP ByDesign and Concur platforms for everyday journal postings, while leveraging Onestream for top-tier financial reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
