Financial Reporting Accountant
Financial Reporting Accountant (Permanent) – Coventry
About the Role
Our client, based in Coventry, is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant for a permanent, full-time position starting immediately.
Salary Range: £45,000 – £50,000 p.a.
Working Policy: Hybrid model with 3 days remote and 2 days on-site.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Prepare and reconcile financial accounting and management reports, including:
- Monthly internal reporting (stocks, profit & loss, balance sheet)
- Group-level timelines
- Monthly inter-group debtors/creditors alignments
- Provide guidance and data analysis to Tax team for compliance and accounting needs
- Reconcile and record monthly payroll costs
- Compile annual UK statutory accounts and other government returns, including:
- Office for National Statistics filings
- Financial Conduct Authority requirements
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with all UK company law standards
- Act as the primary accountant liaison for the Controlling team, helping other departments stay within Group accounting standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Solid expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP
- Intermediate to advanced G&A (General and Administrative) experience
- Strong Excel expertise (pivot tables, dynamic modelling)
- Proficiency in:
- BI/Visualisation tools (Power BI preferred)
- Optional: SAP, OneStream
- Desirable but not mandatory:
- CIMA or ACCA qualification (flexible)
