Financial Reporting Accountant - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic

Overview of Role:

UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic are currently recruiting for the role of Financial Reporting Accountant to join the Finance Department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, managing month-end close processes and supporting finance initiatives.
  • Complete month-end close, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of annual statutory financial statements.
  • Maintain accruals and prepayments schedules.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and perform depreciation calculations.
  • Perform stock take checks and review monthly inventory adjustments.
  • Prepare and post manual journals to the general ledger.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations in line with period-end deadlines.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure accuracy of general ledger inputs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance financial control.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • 1-3 years post qualification experience.
  • Strong understanding of Irish GAAP.
  • Strong systems and data capability (advantageous).
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Flexible, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
