Financial Reporting Accountant - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic

Overview of Role:
UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic are currently recruiting for the role of Financial Reporting Accountant to join the Finance Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, managing month-end close processes and supporting finance initiatives.
- Complete month-end close, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the preparation and delivery of annual statutory financial statements.
- Maintain accruals and prepayments schedules.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and perform depreciation calculations.
- Perform stock take checks and review monthly inventory adjustments.
- Prepare and post manual journals to the general ledger.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations in line with period-end deadlines.
- Partner with operational teams to ensure accuracy of general ledger inputs.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance financial control.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- 1-3 years post qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of Irish GAAP.
- Strong systems and data capability (advantageous).
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management.
- Experience in healthcare preferred.
- Flexible, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
