As the finance function expands its capability and strengthens its controls environment, this role offers enormous potential to ambitious, technically strong finance professionals who wish to join the team as Group Reporting Manager.
Working closely with an experienced Financial Controller, your responsibilities will provide significant exposure across financial reporting, audit, controls, technical accounting, and stakeholder engagement. Even more importantly, the position will serve as a springboard for progression, granting you the breadth of experience and responsibility needed to eventually advance into a Financial Controller role.

The Role
As Group Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across the entire business.
As the operational lead for month-end close, balance sheet governance, audit delivery, and financial controls, you will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller to uphold a robust reporting framework while continually enhancing processes and controls. This role provides exposure to both technical and operational finance, offering an exceptional chance to deepen expertise while gaining valuable leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day month-end close process, ensuring reporting deadlines are consistently met
- Review financial journals, accruals, and key accounting calculations prepared by the wider finance team
- Compile monthly reporting packs and provide in-depth variance analysis
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring quality and accuracy, supported by appropriate documentation
- Monitor aged balance sheet items and areas of financial risk, escalating concerns as required
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, managing requests, collecting evidence, and addressing audit actions
- Conduct first-line financial control reviews and support efforts to enhance the controls framework
- Research and evaluate the impact of new accounting standards and technical developments
- Support year-end close activities and fulfil statutory reporting requirements
- Prepare technical accounting papers, audit schedules, and financial disclosures
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across reporting, governance, and capital expenditure accounting
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to influence informed decision-making

About You
You will thrive as a technically proficient accountant, comfortable working within controlled and regulated environments. Equally adept at handling detail and strategising for the big picture, you'll be seeking a role that delivers both challenge and clear development opportunities.
Requirements
- Hold ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
- Minimum three years’ post-qualified experience within financial reporting, financial control, or technical accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls
- Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes and balance sheet governance
- Experience in supporting both internal and external audits
- Demonstrated analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under challenging deadlines
- A confident communicator, skilled in building effective relationships across diverse stakeholders
