A business that is flying. A role with genuine impact. A team ready to be developed.
My client is entering an exciting phase of growth. The business is outperforming expectations, hitting targets ahead of schedule and continuing to build something truly special within one of the UK’s most recognisable groups.
They are now looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team. Someone who is technically strong, commercially minded and passionate about developing people.
This is not a role where you simply produce reports and move on to the next task. This is an opportunity to sit at the heart of the business, translating financial information into insight, building relationships with stakeholders and helping shape decisions that drive performance.
Reporting into the wider finance leadership team, you will take ownership of a broad financial reporting remit, combining technical accounting, management reporting, financial controls and team leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will lead and develop a team of two, helping them grow in confidence, capability and responsibility. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys coaching others and creating an environment where people can thrive.
Alongside the reporting responsibilities, you will become a trusted finance partner across the business. Someone who can take complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
What will make you successful?
- You are a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong reporting experience
- You enjoy being close to the numbers but equally enjoy understanding the story behind them
- You have the confidence and personality to engage with stakeholders outside of finance
- You can challenge, influence and add value rather than simply report what has happened
- You are passionate about developing others and building a high-performing team
- You thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment where things move quickly
