Financial Services Administrator
Location: Guildford
Salary: Up to £38,000 (depending on experience)
James & Partners is working with a growing international wealth management group, seeking an experienced Financial Services Administrator to join their UK office in Guildford.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with an established UK presence and international reach across multiple wealth management markets. The role sits within the UK team but supports a group that is continuing to build its platform, adviser support function, and operational capabilities—both in the UK and abroad.
The position is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating closely with advisers, senior leadership, and clients rather than performing narrowly process-driven tasks.
The ideal candidate will work alongside an existing administrator in the Guildford office, providing support to the wider UK wealth management team across:
- New business processing
- Client servicing
- Reviews
- Provider liaison
- Adviser support

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
