About The Role

We are seeking a Manager to join our established Banking and Capital Markets tax team, with a pathway to progress their career further. Based within PwC's market-leading Financial Services Tax team, this role calls for someone with a broad set of skills and as a Manager you will work as part of a team to provide excellent quality services to a high-profile portfolio of both UK and multinational clients.

You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills, drive your ambition and work with experienced Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers across the team. The team provides a full suite of tax advisory and compliance services to clients across the banking and capital markets sector covering banking, asset financing, FinTech, brokerage, and proprietary trading. This role will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your tax technical and client delivery skills in a diverse, stimulating, and high-performing environment.

What Your Days Will Look Like

  • Deliver tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base, offering proactive, forward-thinking advice and exceptional client support
  • Provide tax specialist support to our market-leading transaction services and assurance practices. Providing support on tax due diligence, structuring, corporate reorganisations, and statutory audits
  • Maintain expertise in UK and global tax legislation, applying complex rules to provide practical guidance for banking, capital markets, FinTech, and broader financial services clients to guide our clients through change
  • Use innovation and transformation to evolve how we work with clients and deliver an outstanding client experience as our diverse client base grows and evolves
  • Lead and mentor tax professionals, ensuring quality, compliance, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing team culture
  • Manage risk and engagement economics, adhering to PwC's ethical standards while overseeing budgeting, billing, and compliance processes

This Role is for You If:

  • Possess a professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
  • Have extensive tax experience, and a good understanding of UK tax technical and tax accounting concepts as well as knowledge of the financial services sector
  • Are skilled in explaining complex tax concepts clearly to non-specialists, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Can demonstrate analytical and problem-solving expertise, coupled with sound judgement under pressure and a commercial mindset
  • Have proven leadership and team management capabilities, fostering collaboration and performance
  • Have a client-focused mindset with a passion for helping businesses achieve their commercial objectives
