Senior Financial Analyst | Financial Strategy Team

Location: Hybrid (London HQ + global remote options) Company: ComplyAdvantage

ComplyAdvantage provides an AI platform that helps thousands of businesses worldwide detect and prevent money laundering, payment fraud, and other financial crimes, stopping criminal funds from entering the financial system.

Our Financial Strategy team sits at the core of our business—planning, investing, and driving growth—working directly with the CFO and Board. We’re seeking a technically strong senior analyst to take ownership of key workstreams and drive financial insights.


About the Role

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to analyse business and financial performance, transforming data into actionable strategies. This role requires strong modelling, analysis, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the opportunity to shape the future of finance through AI-driven workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Forecasting

    • Assist in producing the annual business plan and regular financial forecasts.
    • Analyse monthly reporting variances and interpret deviations from the plan.
    • Work with stakeholders to develop investment cases and assess cost drivers.
  • Board & Stakeholder Communication

    • Prepare Board presentations and KPI packs, distilling complex financial data into clear, impactful insights.
    • Collaborate across functions to align financial goals with business strategy.
  • Financial Modelling & Analysis

    • Conduct cash flow analysis and financial modelling to support decision-making.
    • Identify trends and opportunities to improve financial performance.

  • Process & Tool Optimisation

    • Drive improvements in forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes.
    • Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency.
  • AI & Innovation

    • Dedicated time to upskill in AI and contribute to AI-driven analytical projects.

Requirements

Essential

  • Smart, results-driven finance professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • Technical excellence:
    • Proficiency in financial modelling, problem-solving, and data analysis.
    • High level of skill in spreadsheet tools (Excel/Google Sheets) and presentation software (PowerPoint/Google Slides).
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years in FP&A or Financial Strategy, with exposure to financial decision-making.
    • Strong understanding of all three financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) and accounting best practices.
  • Data fluency:
    • Experience extracting, cleaning, and combining data from multiple systems (ERP, databases, or BI tools).
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, agile team.
    • Skills to simplify and explain complex financial topics to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Autonomy & Ownership:
    • Growing independence in contributing to strategic workstreams.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, business, economics, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • SaaS or technology background (desirable but optional).
  • Fast-paced environment experience: Track record of thriving in dynamic, start-up-like settings.
  • AI curiosity: Eagerness to explore AI applications in finance and analytics.
  • Accounting accreditation: Part-qualified or actively studying (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
