About the team

The Financial Support Team are here to support our customers whenever they are experiencing financial difficulties. We focus on delivering good, tailored outcomes for customers who are struggling with their mortgage payments. We have a passion for doing the right thing for customers and ensuring that we fulfil all of our obligations.

What you will be doing?

As a Financial Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide support alongside Financial Support Consultants to our customers in the timely collection of mortgage arrears, whilst maintaining a pro-active collections strategy.

You will ensure that the daily activities within the Financial Support department are processed and administered correctly and in line with agreed SLAs.

Working within a supportive and collaborative team you will have access to a clear progression matrix to support your career goals!

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence (post, emails, SMS) in line with prescribed SLA’s.
  • Interacting with OSB’s outsourced back office operational team providing advice/assistance and quality checking all work before the release of correspondence.
  • Making and responding to telephone calls to/from solicitors, Asset managers and Housing Associations, providing a polite, professional and accurate response.
  • Ensuring system notes are up to date and accurate in line with correspondence with customers.
  • Drafting, proofing and dispatching letters on behalf of all Financial Support Consultants within the department.
  • Utilising SMS’s strategies for accounts in pre arrears, mortgage arrears & rent arrears to prompt customer contact.

Do you have the skills?

  • Previous work experience in a financial institution is advantageous.
  • Previous administration experience is essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft applications (in particular Word and Excel) is essential.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels within the Group is essential.
