Play a pivotal role in transforming the finance systems landscape of one of the UK’s fastest-growing legal groups.
The Opportunity
Lawfront is a fast-growing, PE-backed group of seven leading regional law firms. We are delivering one of the most ambitious technology transformation programmes currently underway in the UK legal sector — and our finance systems estate sits right at the centre of it.
We are looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join on a 12-month FTC who can keep our finance platforms running smoothly today while helping shape what they become tomorrow. You will be the subject matter expert for Aderant Expert and associated financial applications across the group, providing the technical depth, analytical capability and hands-on problem-solving that keeps critical systems stable, optimised and aligned to business needs.
This is a role with real breadth: from diagnosing complex issues and developing SQL-based reporting solutions, to supporting upgrades, integrations and continuous improvement across a diverse and evolving systems landscape.
If you know Aderant Expert inside out, take pride in the quality of your technical work, and want to be part of a team that is genuinely transforming how legal services firms operate, we’d love to hear from you.
What You Will Do
- Support and administer the Aderant Expert platform day-to-day, ensuring stability and availability for finance users
- Investigate and resolve complex system issues, identifying root causes and delivering long-term fixes
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts and reporting solutions that give Finance the insight they need
- Build strong relationships with Finance, IT and business stakeholders, translating requirements into system improvements
- Play an active role in upgrades, testing, deployments and integrations, ensuring changes land cleanly
- Maintain and improve system interfaces and data integrity across platforms
- Produce clear, practical technical and process documentation
- Support month-end and year-end processes, ensuring systems perform reliably at peak periods
- Act as the first escalation point for finance systems incidents and requests
- Contribute to finance systems projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the group

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
