Financial Systems and Reporting Officer
School: Multi-Academy Trust, Slough, Berkshire
Start date: July/August 2026
Annual Salary: £36,508 – £47,238
Contract:
- Permanent (37 hours a week, full year – part-time option possible for the right candidate)
- Reporting to: Finance Director
Aston Education is seeking a Financial Systems and Reporting Officer for a Multi-Academy Trust comprising primary and secondary schools located in Slough, Berkshire.
Location: Based on-site (with potential for 1 day of remote work per week to be discussed).

About the Role
As a Financial Systems and Reporting Officer, your role includes:
- Reviewing, improving, and sustaining the trust’s financial systems and processes
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts using FMS and IMP Budget Planner
- Updating budget systems to align with schools’ financial statuses (overspends/underspends/estimates)
- Reacting to needs across any school or business within the trust
Requirements
- Proven schools finance experience
- Degree-level or Level 4 qualification in finance/management (e.g., HND in Business Admins., Accountancy qualification)
- Professional accountancy qualification (AAT or in progress)
- Technical proficiency in financial systems, especially IMP Budget Planning (advantageous)
