Job: Financial Systems and Reporting Officer (Schools)

School: Multi-Academy Trust, Slough, Berkshire

Start date: July/August 2026

Annual Salary: £36,508 - £47,238

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours a week, full year (52 weeks) – part-time option maybe considered for the right candidate

Reporting to: Finance Director

Aston Education is looking for a permanent full-time Financial Systems and Reporting Officer for a Multi-Academy Trust with primary and secondary schools in Slough in Berkshire, to start as soon as possible.

This role is based on-site, but working from home 1 day a week can be discussed.

As a Financial Systems and Reporting Officer, your main responsibilities are:

  • To review, improve and maintain the financial systems and processes of the Trust’s overall financial function
  • To prepare monthly management account reports with accuracy using FMS and IMP budget planning tool
  • To keep budget planning systems updated and reflecting current scenarios in schools
  • To liaise with schools on overspends/underspends/latest estimates of spending to update forecast
  • To be able to work at any school or business of the Trust as the need arises

Experience, qualifications and skills required:

  • You have strong schools finance experience
  • Degree level/NVQ4 financial or management qualification e.g. HND in Business Administration, Accountancy Qualification etc.
  • Accountancy Qualification AAT or working towards
  • Proficient in financial management systems - systems knowledge of IMP Budget Planning would be an advantage

This is a growing multi-academy trust with all schools' Ofsted Good or Outstanding.
