National Grid is hiring a Financial Systems Transformation Manager - This position is based from our Warwick office however we offer flexible hybrid working options.


Job Purpose

As the NGET Financial Systems Transformation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery and adoption of financial systems and performance management improvements across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders, you will lead transformational change that enhances end-to-end financial capabilities, ensuring new ways of working are embedded effectively and deliver lasting business value. You will oversee the identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies that could impact delivery, while championing improvements across people, processes, technology and data. Through your leadership, you will help create simpler, more efficient and performance-focused ways of working that support NGET's strategic objectives.


What You'll Do

Transformation delivery & adoption

  • Lead and coordinate transformation management activities (planning, communications, training and adoption) to deliver financial systems and performance capability improvements.
  • Deliver change in line with NGET Transformation standards, using consistent tools and methods.

Stakeholder engagement & requirements

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Finance, EBS, IT/Digital, Regulation and DVs to enable effective collaboration and engagement.
  • Capture business needs and performance requirements, ensuring root cause is understood and issues are well defined for prioritisation.

Standardisation & continuous improvement

  • Drive cultural and behavioural change to adopt standard ways of working across financial systems and performance capabilities, avoiding individual DV customisation.
  • Support evaluation and delivery of continuous improvement and standardisation to increase efficiency and strengthen outcomes.
  • Explore and evaluate opportunities via the application of AI to drive efficiencies or increased capability.

Data quality & performance foundations

  • Support the business to improve and maintain high-quality data standards required by financial systems and performance processes.

About You

  • Broad experience across financial, performance and asset management systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of the electricity transmission business, the regulatory framework and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience supporting transformation delivery and change adoption, with a customer- and value-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence diverse teams and stakeholders through change.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root cause, see the bigger picture and work through detail to remove barriers.
  • Ability to understand financial system architecture, enterprise global processes and how they support NGET business outcomes.
  • Able to diagnose cross-cutting issues across people, process, technology and data, and shape practical options to address them.
  • Able to work across workstreams and delivery units to identify and address divergent or duplicate activities across programmes and projects.
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working in dispersed, high-performing and agile teams.

What You'll Get

  • A competitive salary between £58,000 – £72,000 dependent on capability
  • Bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance
  • Competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%
