About the Role
Sofidel is one of the world’s leading paper manufacturing companies, operating globally with sustainability at its core. We are seeking a motivated and hard-working individual to join our logistics team as a Finished Goods Warehouse Operative at our Rothley site, near Leicester.
By joining our fast-paced, progressive environment, you’ll gain hands-on experience working in a dynamic manufacturing setting while collaborating with a team to manage storage, logistics, and quality compliance under ISO 9001 standards. Your responsibility will include ensuring daily warehouse operations align with safety, working instructions, and production demands.

Main Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Move pallets and stock them in the correct storage bay
- Prepare the loading area in compliance with the loading schedule and sign off as required
- Load trucks if required
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation
Equipment & Safety
- Operate forklift trucks and other material-handling equipment
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults
- Maintain equipment to ensure daily functionality complies with instructions
Inventory & Quality Control
- Carry out periodic stocktaking activities
- Optimise warehouse space to enhance efficiency
- Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with Day Services and Shift teams
- Assist colleagues or complete reasonable requests
- Ensure high housekeeping standards and health & safety rules are consistently upheld

Position Details
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 14:00–22:00 (~37.5 hours per week)
Remuneration & Benefits (Fully Paid Package)
- £13.00/hour
- 21 days annual leave, increasing with length of service

Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment is desirable, but not mandatory
- Ability to work shift patterns and meet tight deadlines
- Commitment to health and safety standards
- Physical stamina to operate machinery and move loads safely
