Freelance Finishing Manager

Location: Birmingham
Rate: £220-£270 per day (DOE)
Contract: Freelance

We're looking for an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to join the team on a high-rise residential and student accommodation development in Selly Oak.

You'll be responsible for managing the final stages of the project, ensuring apartments and communal areas are completed to the highest standard, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating snagging and driving the programme through to successful handover.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all internal finishing works to programme.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on site.
  • Drive quality standards and ensure defects are rectified promptly.
  • Manage snagging, de-snagging and handover processes.
  • Liaise with site management, subcontractors and client representatives.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on high-rise residential, student accommodation or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates preferred.
