We're hiring a FinOps & Technology Cost Manager to bring clarity, control, and measurable value to cloud, SaaS, and AI investment across our organisation. This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role where you'll shape how technology spend is tracked, governed, and optimised whilst partnering across Technology, Finance, and Contract Management to drive smarter decisions at scale. From building a transparent, end-to-end view of spend to proactively identifying risks, trends, and optimisation opportunities, you'll ensure every pound invested in technology delivers real business value. You'll champion cost-aware engineering, embed robust forecasting and reporting practices, and influence decisions that improve efficiency without compromising delivery. What you'll be doing Owning reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking across cloud, SaaS, AI, and technology spend Driving cost optimisation through rightsizing, commitment management, and waste reduction Building and maintaining accurate forecasts, tracking variance, and agreeing corrective actions Developing dashboards and reporting to support leadership decision-making Establishing and maintaining standards for cost allocation, tagging, ownership, and governance Partnering with Technology, Finance, and Contract Management to improve cost control Leading regular spend reviews to identify risks, trends, anomalies, and optimisation opportunities Managing SaaS licensing and vendor spend, including utilisation, renewals, and contract value Tracking and optimising AI platform costs, including licences, APIs, and token usage Promoting cost-aware engineering practices to improve efficiency without impacting delivery What you won't be doing Working in a siloed environment with no freedom to make decisions. Working in a place where you can't see the impact your expertise makes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience: Demonstrable experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, technology finance, or a similar discipline A proven track record of improving spend visibility, forecasting accuracy, cost allocation, and financial control Excellent analytical capability, with the ability to interpret trends, manage forecasts, analyse variances, and track key performance metrics Experience defining and embedding standards for cost allocation, tagging, ownership, and reporting The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting insights to senior leadership A collaborative approach, with experience working cross-functionally with Technology, Finance, and Commercial or Contract Management teams Confidence in influencing decisions, constructively challenging inefficiencies, and driving cost accountability Comfort working in a scaling or evolving environment where processes and controls are still maturing Any experience of the following would also be highly sought after: FinOps Certified Practitioner certification, or equivalent hands-on experience delivering FinOps practices Experience with cloud cost management, billing data, budgeting, and reporting tools Exposure to SaaS licensing, utilisation tracking, renewals, and vendor spend management Experience managing AI platform costs, including licensing, APIs, and token consumption
